Storage Racks
Since SAI was founded, in 1984, we have solved hundreds of our customers
storage needs with various types of pallet rack. No matter what your
storage requirements are, SAI has a solution. We offer selective pallet
racking, pallet flow rack, drive in racking, and push back rack.
Selective Racking
The selective pallet racking system is the best solution for warehouses
that need to store palletized products with a wide range of SKUs. The
advantages of selective racking are direct access to each pallet and SKU,
easy control of stock, and it is adaptable to any volume, weight or size
of goods.
In order to store a great number of pallets, double deep racks can be
installed, enabling one pallet to be placed in front of another on each
side of an aisle.
Pallet Flow Rack
Pallet flow rack is an ideal system for warehouses of perishable goods,
or any goods that require the First In First Out (FIFO) system of
inventory management. Gravity flow rack is slightly inclined, allowing
the pallets to slide down to the picking side at a controlled pace. The
advantages of pallet flow rack are that it enables the FIFO system of
inventory control, maximum space utilization, and time and space savings
in pallet handling.
Drive-In Pallet Rack
Drive-In Racks allow a lift truck to enter the rack from one side to pick
up or pull out pallets. This is done because pallets can slide backwards
on a continuous rail. Forklifts drive into the rack to access pallets tow
or more deep. The size of the warehouse is the only thing that limits the
depth of a bay. Drive in pallet rack requires fewer aisles, allowing up
to 75% more useable storage space. Drive-In or Drive Through rack works
well in cold storage applications, due to the need to store as many pallets
as possible in as little expensive freezer space as possible. Also, if
there is not a wide variety of products stored in the racks drive-in racks
may work well. Because of the way drive-in rack is utilized it is subject
to more abuse, so rack integrity and strength are important factors.
Push-Back Pallet Rack
With push-back pallet rack, pallets are placed on a set of trolleys that
are pushed along rolling rails. These rails are built on a slight incline,
lower at the front, so that the pallets at the back move forward when the
pallet closest to the aisle is removed. It allows up to four pallets deep
to be stored per level. Push-Back rack is ideal for storing medium-turnover
products, with two or more SKU. Advantages of push-back rack are space
savings, high storage density, and loading is carried out in a central
aisle.
